Lucky Day is seeking Assistant Editors. Assistant Editors will work alongside our post-production team to facilitate the editing of Lucky Day projects. Applicants will need to have experience using NLE with an emphasis on Premier and be able to communicate in an efficient, concise and amiable manner while tackling the different demands that will arise in an efficient fashion throughout the project workflow. Assistant Editors will need a high degree of organizational skill and demonstrate clear, concise and effective communication in order to deliver the highest quality results for each project while maintaining a positive working environment.

Assistant Editors will assist Senior Editors with a number of activities including but not limited to setting up projects, sourcing and tracking assets, quality controlling reviews, prepping and delivering for online and conform. Assistant Editors will work to ensure the highest quality results for the creative vision of each project.

Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of video editorial experience

  • Strong knowledge of video production with focus on commercial campaigns or long form narratives.

  • Proficient in Premier, Avid, with working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator.

  • Fluency with Slack, Google Workspace, and Frame.io

  • Strong skills in clear and direct communication (both verbal and written)

  • Strong organizational skills

  • The ability to schedule your time while contributing to the progress of the edit(s).

  • The ability to anticipate and problem solve as needed in order to maintain efficient and productive workflows.

  • A clear understanding of the Post Production workflow from editorial to archiving

  • The ability to maintain a cordial and amiable disposition while working within a demanding and lively work environment

Responsibilities:

  • Prep, track, and maintain project files and assets throughout the editing process

  • Efficiently address supervising editor’s needs

  • Maintain detailed organization as it relates to each projects demands; raw and sourced assets, cuts, sequences, music, sfx, etc

  • Supporting supervising editor in tracking post-product schedule for each edit

  • Detailed attention to Client’s needs in order to deliver to their requirements

  • Detailed attention to the Internal Team’s needs

  • Communicate effectively, clearly and directly with everyone involved in the project(s)
