That’s right - the World Cup has captured our hearts and our screens. This all encompassing, ever present, non-stop soccer action demands our attention and drives our curiosity. We want to learn more; the who, what, where, when, and how of this glorious months-long tournament. What countries are playing, who are the players, what’s happening with the on the pitch drama and behind the scenes intrigue? Fortunately for us global soccer armchair gumshoes, there’s Google Search.
Lucky Day and Mirror took to the field alongside the Google Brand Studio team to ideate, create, and deliver a series of edits highlighting some of the best parts of the game. From dribbling to Dembele, España to bicycle kicks - we took a shot at capturing the energy and joy that makes the 2026 World Cup a global spectacle. And, honestly, we found the back of the net!
