Favorites

Favorite Colors: Green and blue

Favorite Movies: Or what movies inspire you?  The Big Lebowski for laughs. 1961 West Side Story for music. Amélie because I'm a Francophile at heart.

Favorite songs: I'll Be Here in the Morning by Townes Van Zandt. This was the song we would sing to our son when he was a baby.

Favorite bands:

That's a tough one! A few are: Built to Spill, LCD Soundsystem, Fleet Foxes, Talking Heads, The Smiths, Dolly Parton, Bikini Kill, and New Order. Currently enjoying Nation of Language and Fontaines DC. Oh, and I love 70s / 80s punk + metal and any Broadway musical.

Favorite foods: Grilled cheese with tomato soup and a pickle on the side. The ultimate comfort food.

Favorite places to eat: Sckavone's. It's a straightforward and pleasant old-school diner experience. Por Qué No? for tacos and margaritas. Broder Café, Cibo, and all the food trucks at Hinterland on 50th. Can you tell which neighborhood I live in?

Favorite places on earth: Montana. My mom's family is from there, and there's nothing quite like the openness of the West. I also love anywhere in Ireland and France.

Who would you like to meet? Dolly Parton. She's an amazing songwriter, musician, and philanthropist.

3 people to have dinner with? They can be dead or alive. Michelle Obama, Dolly Parton, and Cyndi Lauper. What a fantastic group of strong women. The conversation would be incredible. I also think that we would have a really great food spread.

Deep Dive

What do you think are important characteristics of a good post-producer?

You gotta keep calm when things start to get rocky. Post can be a very fast-paced environment with constant problem-solving. I find that oftentimes if the producer is keeping cool, then the entire team and clients will follow. Another important trait is to be a good listener. Sometimes, all people want is to feel heard.

What is your biggest challenge as a post-producer? Schedules and budgets have gotten tighter, so sometimes that can be a bit tricky to navigate, but we always get there in the end!

What are you most proud of? My son, Hawkins. He's my tiny North Star. 🌟

What is something you want to work on? Practicing gratitude and mindfulness.

What is something you dream of doing? I've always wanted to travel to Antarctica and see Ernest Shackleton's grave on South Georgia Island.

Why do you produce?

I'm a social person by nature, and I like bringing order from chaos, so producing is a perfect fit for me.

Anything else you want to share or highlight?

Despite my easygoing disposition, I'm also known as a fairly violent tambourine player.
