You know the feeling when you watch a movie from the 1990s and the “future” they imagined looks weirdly similar to what we’re experiencing today?

That’s the vibe of this playlist.

Most of these songs sound like they were recorded in some impossible year: 1973? 2035? Both? November deserves a soundtrack that’s somewhat contradictory: cozy but restless, golden but melancholic, upbeat but wistful. It’s meant to suggest the invigorating crispness of the changing season without the brisk, bitter cold.
