Oh Whale Portland Premiere!

October 21, 2025

Oh Whale.

When news anchor Paul Linnman arrived in Florence, OR on November 12, 1970, he had no idea that the story he was about to tell would forever define his career. Following a small Oregon town, an exploding whale, and the man who made the story famous, Oh Whale is about how we don’t get to choose our fate, only what we make of it.

We're so excited to announce the Oregon premiere of Oh Whale. We invite you to join us at Pam Cut's Tomorrow Theater on November 12th. Door's open at 630pm when the evening begins with a meet-and-greet in the theater's foyer we're we'll have some special Oh Whale merch on sale–stay tuned for a sneak peek. Oh Whale plays at 7pm. Once the dust settles, the audience will be treated to an interview with legendary journalist Paul Linnman, cameraman Doug Brazil, director Winslow Crane-Murdoch, and editor Corky DeVault conducted by Oregon Historical Society’s own Kerry Tymchuk.  We hope to see you there!
