$110k -$130k, commensurate with experience

Job Summary:

Lucky Day, a remote-first post-production company specializing in commercials and branded content, is seeking a Technology and Operations Lead. This role is crucial in managing the operational backbone and technical infrastructure for both Lucky Day and Mirror Mirror. The ideal candidate will be adept at building process discipline across a creative organization while ensuring the post-production pipeline remains technically sound. This hybrid role is designed for someone with a strong range across both operations and IT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Management: Design, document, and maintain operational processes across the studio; identify inefficiencies and drive standardization.
  • IT Strategy: Set the direction for the company's technical infrastructure, tools, and systems in alignment with business priorities.
  • Identify and Evaluate New Technologies: Research, pilot, and recommend new tools and platforms to improve workflows.
  • Translate and Integrate Directive to Tactical Implementation: Convert leadership direction into operational and technical execution plans.
  • Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA): Provide oversight and hold self and others accountable to operational standards.
  • Develop and Maintain Technical Infrastructure: Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the company's network and technical systems.
  • Oversee IT Security and Protocol: Establish, document, and enforce security protocols; manage user access and permissions.
  • Troubleshoot Technical Issues: Serve as the primary point of resolution for hardware, software, and network issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in operations management and/or IT management within a production or creative services environment.
  • Working fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Airtable.
  • Strong network administration and IT troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Experience implementing IT security protocols, including access control and safeguarding of assets.
  • Ability to translate leadership direction into operational systems and processes.
  • Experience managing direct reports or readiness to grow into a people-management capacity.
  • Based in Portland, OR, and available for hybrid in-office work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or administering post-production pipelines.
  • Experience working across two related but distinct brands or business units.
  • Familiarity with remote/hybrid team operations.

Success Metrics:

In the first 6–12 months, success in this role includes establishing a clear archiving process, monitoring project lifecycles, becoming the Airtable subject-matter expert, and implementing a standardized onboarding/offboarding checklist.
